West African Boost for London Thamesport
The MOL Valparaiso making the first call at London Thamesport on the Africa Rainbow Northern Loop service

London Thamesport is pleased to announce that Mitsui O.S.K Lines (MOL) has commenced calls at the Port with the "Africa Rainbow Northern Loop service", serving ports on the N. Europe and West Africa trade.

With 3 x 2100 TEU vessels deployed on the service (MOL Sassandra, MOL Valparaiso, & MOL Volta) and 190m LOA the service offers a connection for the Line to the Asia Europe Express (AEX) service of The New World Alliance which is already calling weekly at London Thamesport.

David Gledhill, CEO of Hutchison Ports (UK) Ltd which owns London Thamesport commented:

"The decision by MOL to relocate this service is a great vote of confidence for London Thamesport. MOL has made us a port of choice in the past and has long been aware of the benefits of using the facility with its impressive turnaround times for ships and trucks. We look forward to developing our working relationship with the Line as they strive to offer a more efficient and convenient service to their customers."

The ARN service has the following port rotation: London Thamesport - Tangier - Abidjan - Tema - Lagos - Abidjan - Vigo - Antwerp - Zeebrugge – London Thamesport.
